Ανδρέας Αποστόλου
O Ανδρέας Αποστόλου γεννήθηκε στις 16 Ιουλίου 1986 στη Λάρνακα.
Είναι ο πρωτότοκος γιος του Απόστολου (Λάκη) Αποστόλου και της Χριστίνας Αποστόλου (το γένος Κατωδρύτη) και έχει ακόμη τρεις αδελφούς.
Είναι νυμφευμένος με τη Θεοδοσία Αποστόλου και έχουν δύο παιδιά, τη Χριστίνα και τον Κωνσταντίνο.
Αποφοίτησε με γενικό βαθμό 20 από το Παγκύπριο Λύκειο Λάρνακας και μετά τη στρατιωτική του θητεία σπούδασε με υποτροφία στη σχολή Πολιτικών Μηχανικών στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο, από το οποίο απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο MEng
(Master of Engineer) σαν Πολιτικός Μηχανικός και Συγκοινωνιολόγος Μηχανικός. Συνέχισε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές του στο Bristol Business School στη Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων (MSc Business Management).
Είναι εγκεκριμένος εκπαιδευτής της Αρχής Ανάπτυξης Ανθρωπίνου Δυναμικού και μέλος του ΕΤΕΚ. Εργάστηκε σε διευθυντικές θέσεις σε διάφορες ιδιωτικές εταιρείες και ως κοινοβουλευτικός συνεργάτης στη Βουλή των Αντιπροσώπων.
Εκλέγηκε Βουλευτής Επαρχίας Λάρνακας με την ΕΔΕΚ Σ.Κ. στις βουλευτικές εκλογές του 2021. Είναι μέλος των κοινοβουλευτικών επιτροπών Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού, Εργασίας και Κοινωνικής Πρόνοιας, Ελέγχου και παρακολουθεί και την
επιτροπή Υγείας για θέματα που αφορούν τους χρόνιους ασθενείς.
Είναι Αντιπρόεδρος της ΕΔΕΚ Σ.Κ.
Είναι μέλος της Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Καρκίνου της Ομοσπονδίας Συνδέσμων Ασθενών Κύπρου.
Είναι Αντιπρόεδρος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Ιδρύματος Χριστίνα Α.Αποστόλου, που ιδρύθηκε στη μνήμη της μητέρας του. Το Ίδρυμα έχει ως σκοπό τη στήριξη παιδιών και νέων με χρόνιες παθήσεις καθώς και αγαθοεργίες, οι οποίες έχουν στο επίκεντρό τους τα παιδιά.
Andreas Apostolou
Andreas Apostolou was born on the 16 th of July 1986. He was brought up and currently resides in Larnaca.
He is the first-born son of Apostolos (Lakis) Apostolou and the late Christina Apostolou (née Katodrytou) and he has three brothers.
He is married to Theodosia Apostolou and together they have two children; Christina and Constantinos.
He is a Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaca graduate with a GPA 20/20 and after completing his military service he attended the National Technical University of Athens (Metsovion Polytechnic) where he studied on a scholarship at the School of Civil Engineering. He obtained a Masters of Engineering degree from the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering. He carried on his postgraduate studies in Business Management (MSc) at Bristol Business School.
He is a certified trainer according to the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (ΑΝΑΔ) model “Vocational Training Trainer” and a member of the Scientific Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ΕΤΕΚ).He has worked in the private
sector and as a parliamentary assistant in the House of Representatives in Cyprus.
He was elected to the House of Representatives in the 2021 elections as a Representative of the Larnaca constituency under the banner of EDEK Socialist Party. He serves as a member of the House Standing Committee on Educational Affairs and Culture, the House Standing Committee on Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance and the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control. He is also a close observer of the House Standing Committee of Health Affairs for matters concerning patients with chronic diseases.
He is the vice-president of EDEK Socialist Party.
He is a member of the Permanent Committee on Cancer of the Cyprus Federation of Patients’ Associations.
He is vice-president of the board of the Christina A. Apostolou Foundation which was founded in memoriam of his late mother.
The aim of the foundation is to offer support to children and young people who suffer from chronic diseases as well
as do child-centred charities.
